Laws for Burnt Offerings
1:1And he called to Moses, and the LORD spoke to him from the tent of appointed time (mo-ed), saying: 2Speak to the sons of Israel, and you shall say to them: When a man of you brings near an offering to the LORD, from the beast, from the herd or from the flock you shall bring near your offering.
3If his offering be a burnt offering from the herd, a male without blemish he shall bring him near; to the entrance of the tent of appointed time (mo-ed) he shall bring him near, for his acceptance before the LORD. 4And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the burnt offering, and it shall be accepted for him, to make atonement for him.
5And he shall slaughter the son of the herd before the LORD; and the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall bring near the blood, and dash the blood upon the altar round about, which is at the entrance of the tent of appointed time (mo-ed). 6And he shall flay the burnt offering, and cut him into his pieces.
7And the sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire upon the altar, and arrange wood upon the fire. 8And the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall arrange the pieces, the head, and the suet, upon the wood that is on the fire which is upon the altar. 9And its inwards and its legs he shall wash with water; and the priest shall make the whole smoke on the altar, a burnt offering, a fire-offering, a soothing aroma to the LORD.
10And if his offering be from the flock, from the sheep or from the goats, for a burnt offering, a male without blemish he shall bring it near. 11And he shall slaughter him on the side of the altar northward before the LORD; and the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall dash his blood upon the altar round about. 12And he shall cut him into his pieces, with his head and his suet; and the priest shall arrange them upon the wood that is on the fire which is upon the altar. 13But the inwards and the legs he shall wash with water; and the priest shall bring the whole near and make it smoke on the altar; it is a burnt offering, a fire-offering, a soothing aroma to the LORD.

1:14And if from the fowl be his burnt offering to the LORD, then he shall bring near his offering from the turtledoves, or from the sons of the dove. 15And the priest shall bring him near to the altar, and pinch off his head, and make him smoke on the altar; and his blood shall be drained out on the wall of the altar. 16And he shall remove its crop with its feathers, and cast it beside the altar eastward, to the place of the ashes. 17And he shall split him by his wings, but he shall not divide him asunder; and the priest shall make him smoke on the altar, upon the wood that is upon the fire; it is a burnt offering, a fire-offering, a soothing aroma to the LORD.
Laws for Grain Offerings
2:1And a soul, when it brings near an offering of a meal offering to the LORD, fine flour shall be his offering; and he shall pour oil upon it, and put frankincense upon it. 2And he shall bring it to the sons of Aaron the priests; and he shall grasp from there the fullness of his handful, from its fine flour and from its oil, with all its frankincense; and the priest shall make its memorial-portion smoke on the altar, a fire-offering, a soothing aroma to the LORD. 3And that which is left of the meal offering shall be for Aaron and for his sons; it is a holy of holies from the fire-offerings of the LORD.
4And when you bring near an offering of a meal offering baked in an oven, it shall be unleavened cakes of fine flour mingled with oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with oil.
5And if your offering be a meal offering upon the griddle, it shall be fine flour mingled with oil, unleavened. 6Break it into pieces, and pour oil upon it; it is a meal offering.

2:7And if your offering be a meal offering of the pan, it shall be made of fine flour with oil.
8And you shall bring the meal offering that is made of these to the LORD; and he shall bring it near to the priest, and he shall present it to the altar. 9And the priest shall lift up from the meal offering its memorial-portion, and make it smoke on the altar, a fire-offering, a soothing aroma to the LORD. 10And that which is left of the meal offering shall be for Aaron and for his sons; it is a holy of holies from the fire-offerings of the LORD.
11Every meal offering which you bring near to the LORD shall not be made of leaven; for all leaven and all honey, you shall not make them smoke as a fire-offering to the LORD. 12An offering of firstfruits you shall bring them near to the LORD; but upon the altar they shall not go up for a soothing aroma. 13And every offering of your meal offering you shall season with salt; and you shall not let the salt of the covenant of your God cease from upon your meal offering; upon all your offering you shall bring near salt.
14And if you bring near a meal offering of firstfruits to the LORD, fresh ears parched with fire, crushed grain of the fresh ear, you shall bring near as the meal offering of your firstfruits. 15And you shall put oil upon it, and lay frankincense upon it; it is a meal offering. 16And the priest shall make its memorial-portion smoke, from its crushed grain and from its oil, with all its frankincense; it is a fire-offering to the LORD.

Laws for Peace Offerings
3:1And if his offering be a sacrifice of peace offerings, if he brings near from the herd, whether male or whether female, without blemish he shall bring it near before the LORD. 2And he shall lay his hand upon the head of his offering, and slaughter him at the entrance of the tent of appointed time (mo-ed); and the sons of Aaron the priests shall dash the blood upon the altar round about.
3And he shall bring near from the sacrifice of the peace offerings a fire-offering to the LORD: the fat that covers the inwards, and all the fat that is upon the inwards, 4and the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, which is by the loins, and the lobe upon the liver, which with the kidneys he shall remove. 5And the sons of Aaron shall make it smoke on the altar, upon the burnt offering which is upon the wood that is on the fire; it is a fire-offering, a soothing aroma to the LORD.
6And if his offering for a sacrifice of peace offerings to the LORD be from the flock, male or female, without blemish he shall bring it near.
7If he brings near a lamb for his offering, then he shall bring him near before the LORD. 8And he shall lay his hand upon the head of his offering, and slaughter him before the tent of appointed time (mo-ed); and the sons of Aaron shall dash his blood upon the altar round about.
9And he shall bring near from the sacrifice of the peace offerings a fire-offering to the LORD: its fat, the whole fat tail, close by the backbone he shall remove it; and the fat that covers the inwards, and all the fat that is upon the inwards, 10and the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, which is by the loins, and the lobe upon the liver, which with the kidneys he shall remove. 11And the priest shall make it smoke on the altar; it is the bread of a fire-offering to the LORD.
12And if his offering be a goat, then he shall bring him near before the LORD. 13And he shall lay his hand upon his head, and slaughter him before the tent of appointed time (mo-ed); and the sons of Aaron shall dash his blood upon the altar round about.
14And he shall bring near from it his offering, a fire-offering to the LORD: the fat that covers the inwards, and all the fat that is upon the inwards, 15and the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, which is by the loins, and the lobe upon the liver, which with the kidneys he shall remove. 16And the priest shall make them smoke on the altar; it is the bread of a fire-offering, for a soothing aroma; all the fat is the LORD's.
17An everlasting statute throughout your generations, in all your dwellings: all fat and all blood you shall not eat.

Laws for Sin Offerings
4:1And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying: 2"Speak to the sons of Israel, saying: A soul, when it sins through error from any of the commandments of the LORD which shall not be done, and does one of them—
3if the anointed priest sins for the guilt of the people, then he shall bring near for his sin which he sinned a bull, a son of the herd, without blemish, to the LORD for a sin offering. 4And he shall bring the bull to the opening of the tent of appointed time (mo-ed) before the LORD, and he shall lay his hand upon the head of the bull, and slaughter the bull before the LORD. 5And the anointed priest shall take from the blood of the bull, and bring it to the tent of appointed time (mo-ed). 6And the priest shall dip his finger in the blood, and sprinkle from the blood seven times before the LORD, before the face of the veil of the holy place. 7And the priest shall put from the blood upon the horns of the altar of the incense of spices before the LORD, which is in the tent of appointed time (mo-ed); and all the blood of the bull he shall pour out at the base of the altar of the burnt offering, which is at the opening of the tent of appointed time (mo-ed). 8And all the fat of the bull of the sin offering he shall lift up from it: the fat that covers the entrails, and all the fat that is upon the entrails, 9and the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, which is upon the loins, and the lobe upon the liver, by the kidneys he shall remove it, 10as it is lifted up from the ox of the sacrifice of the peace offerings; and the priest shall make them smoke upon the altar of the burnt offering. 11And the skin of the bull, and all its flesh, with its head, and with its legs, and its entrails, and its dung, 12even the whole bull he shall bring out to the outside of the camp, to a clean place, to the place of the pouring out of the ashes, and burn him upon wood with fire; upon the pouring out of the ashes he shall be burned.
13And if the whole congregation of Israel errs, and the matter is hidden from the eyes of the assembly, and they do one from any of the commandments of the LORD which shall not be done, and become guilty; 14when the sin which they sinned concerning it becomes known, then the assembly shall bring near a bull, a son of the herd, for a sin offering, and bring him before the tent of appointed time (mo-ed). 15And the elders of the congregation shall lay their hands upon the head of the bull before the LORD, and he shall slaughter the bull before the LORD. 16And the anointed priest shall bring from the blood of the bull to the tent of appointed time (mo-ed). 17And the priest shall dip his finger from the blood, and sprinkle seven times before the LORD, before the face of the veil. 18And from the blood he shall put upon the horns of the altar which is before the LORD, which is in the tent of appointed time (mo-ed); and all the blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar of the burnt offering, which is at the opening of the tent of appointed time (mo-ed). 19And all its fat he shall lift up from it, and make it smoke upon the altar. 20And he shall do to the bull as he did to the bull of the sin offering, so shall he do to him; and the priest shall make atonement for them, and it shall be forgiven to them. 21And he shall bring out the bull to the outside of the camp, and burn it as he burned the first bull; it is the sin offering of the assembly.
22When a leader sins, and does one from all the commandments of the LORD his God which shall not be done, through error, and becomes guilty; 23or his sin which he sinned in it is made known to him, then he shall bring his offering, a male goat of the goats, a male without blemish. 24And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the goat, and slaughter him in the place where he slaughters the burnt offering before the LORD; it is a sin offering. 25And the priest shall take from the blood of the sin offering with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of the burnt offering, and its blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar of the burnt offering. 26And all its fat he shall make smoke upon the altar, like the fat of the sacrifice of the peace offerings; and the priest shall make atonement for him from his sin, and it shall be forgiven to him.

4:27And if one soul sins through error from the people of the land, in its doing one from the commandments of the LORD which shall not be done, and becomes guilty; 28or his sin which he sinned is made known to him, then he shall bring his offering, a female goat of the goats, without blemish, a female, for his sin which he sinned. 29And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the sin offering, and slaughter the sin offering in the place of the burnt offering. 30And the priest shall take from its blood with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of the burnt offering, and all its blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar. 31And all its fat he shall remove, as the fat is removed from upon the sacrifice of the peace offerings; and the priest shall make it smoke upon the altar for a soothing aroma to the LORD; and the priest shall make atonement for him, and it shall be forgiven to him.
32And if he brings a lamb as his offering for a sin offering, a female without blemish he shall bring it. 33And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the sin offering, and slaughter her for a sin offering in the place where he slaughters the burnt offering. 34And the priest shall take from the blood of the sin offering with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of the burnt offering, and all its blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar. 35And all its fat he shall remove, as the fat of the lamb is removed from the sacrifice of the peace offerings; and the priest shall make them smoke upon the altar, upon the fire offerings of the LORD; and the priest shall make atonement for him concerning his sin which he sinned, and it shall be forgiven to him.
Sins Requiring a Sin Offering
5:1And a soul, when it sins, and it heard the voice of an oath, and he is a witness, or he saw or knew—if he does not tell it, then he shall bear his iniquity;
2or a soul which touches any unclean thing, or the carcass of an unclean living thing, or the carcass of unclean cattle, or the carcass of an unclean swarming thing, and it is hidden from him, and he is unclean, and becomes guilty;
3or when he touches the uncleanness of man, of any of his uncleanness by which he becomes unclean, and it is hidden from him, and he knew, and becomes guilty;
4or a soul, when it swears, speaking rashly with the lips to do evil or to do good, of anything that the man speaks rashly with an oath, and it is hidden from him, and he knew, and becomes guilty in one of these;
5and it shall be, when he becomes guilty in one of these, that he shall confess that in which he has sinned; 6and he shall bring his guilt offering to the LORD for his sin which he sinned, a female from the flock, a ewe-lamb or a female goat, for a sin offering; and the priest shall make atonement for him from his sin.
7And if his hand does not reach enough for a sheep, then he shall bring his guilt offering, which he sinned, two turtledoves or two sons of a dove, to the LORD: one for a sin offering, and one for a burnt offering. 8And he shall bring them to the priest, and he shall bring near that which is for the sin offering first, and pinch off its head from the front of its neck, but he shall not divide it. 9And he shall sprinkle from the blood of the sin offering upon the wall of the altar, and that which remains of the blood shall be drained out at the base of the altar; it is a sin offering. 10And the second he shall make a burnt offering, according to the judgment; and the priest shall make atonement for him from his sin which he sinned, and it shall be forgiven to him.

5:11And if his hand does not reach to two turtledoves or to two sons of a dove, then he shall bring his offering, which he sinned, a tenth of the ephah of fine flour for a sin offering; he shall not put upon it oil, and he shall not place upon it frankincense, for it is a sin offering. 12And he shall bring it to the priest, and the priest shall grasp from it the fullness of his fist, its memorial portion, and make it smoke upon the altar, upon the fire offerings of the LORD; it is a sin offering. 13And the priest shall make atonement for him concerning his sin which he sinned from one of these, and it shall be forgiven to him; and it shall be for the priest, like the grain offering."
Laws for Guilt Offerings
14And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying: 15"A soul, when it commits a trespass, and sins through error against the holy things of the LORD, then he shall bring his guilt offering to the LORD, a ram without blemish from the flock, by your valuation in silver of shekels, by the shekel of the holy place, for a guilt offering. 16And that which he sinned from the holy thing he shall repay, and its fifth he shall add upon it, and give it to the priest; and the priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the guilt offering, and it shall be forgiven to him.
17And if a soul sins, and does one from all the commandments of the LORD which shall not be done, though he did not know, yet he is guilty, and he shall bear his iniquity. 18And he shall bring a ram without blemish from the flock, by your valuation, for a guilt offering, to the priest; and the priest shall make atonement for him concerning his error which he erred, though he did not know it, and it shall be forgiven to him. 19It is a guilt offering; he is surely guilty to the LORD."
Sins Requiring a Guilt Offering
20And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying: 21"A soul, when it sins, and commits a trespass against the LORD, and deals falsely with his fellow concerning a deposit, or a pledge of the hand, or robbery, or has oppressed his fellow; 22or has found a lost thing, and deals falsely concerning it, and swears to a falsehood; concerning one from all these that the man does, sinning in them; 23then it shall be, when he sins and becomes guilty, that he shall return the robbed thing which he robbed, or the oppression which he oppressed, or the deposit which was deposited with him, or the lost thing which he found, 24or anything from all about which he swears to a falsehood, then he shall repay it in its head, and its fifths he shall add upon it; to him to whom it belongs he shall give it, on the day of his guilt. 25And his guilt offering he shall bring to the LORD, a ram without blemish from the flock, by your valuation, for a guilt offering, to the priest. 26And the priest shall make atonement for him before the LORD, and it shall be forgiven to him, concerning one from all that he does to become guilty in it."

43:21the people whom I formed for myself; they shall declare my praise.
Israel’s Unfaithfulness
22But you have not called upon me, O Jacob; for you have been weary of me, O Israel.
23You have not brought me the lamb of your burnt offerings, nor honored me with your sacrifices; I have not made you serve with a meal offering, nor wearied you with frankincense.
24You have bought me no sweet cane with money, nor satisfied me with the fat of your sacrifices; but you have made me serve with your sins, you have wearied me with your iniquities.
25I, even I, am he that blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and your sins I will not remember.
26Put me in remembrance; let us enter into judgment together; declare, you, that you may be justified.
27Your first father sinned, and your mediators have transgressed against me.
28And I have profaned the princes of the sanctuary, and I have given Jacob to the ban, and Israel to reviling.
The LORD Has Chosen Israel
44:1And now hear, O Jacob my servant, and Israel, whom I have chosen.
2Thus says the LORD, your maker, and your former from the womb, who helps you: Fear not, my servant Jacob, and Jeshurun, whom I have chosen.
3For I will pour water upon the thirsty, and streams upon the dry ground; I will pour my spirit upon your seed, and my blessing upon your offspring.
4And they shall spring up among the grass, like willows by streams of water.
5This one shall say, "I am the LORD's," and that one shall call by the name of Jacob; and another shall write with his hand, "The LORD's," and surname himself by the name of Israel.
6Thus says the LORD, King of Israel, and his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts: I am the first and I am the last, and besides me there is no God.
7And who, like me, can call—let him declare it, and set it in order for me—since I appointed the people of old? And the things coming, and that which shall come, let them declare to them.
8Fear not, neither be afraid; have I not from of old made you hear, and declared it? And you are my witnesses. Is there a God besides me? There is no Rock; I know none.
9The fashioners of a carved image, all of them are emptiness, and their delightful things do not profit; and their witnesses—they themselves—see not, nor know, that they may be ashamed.
10Who has formed a god, or cast an image, that profits for nothing?
11Behold, all his companions shall be ashamed, and the craftsmen, they are of man; let them all gather together, let them stand; they shall fear, they shall be ashamed together.
12The craftsman of iron makes an axe and works in the coal, and with hammers he fashions it, and works it with the arm of his strength; yes, he is hungry, and there is no strength; he has not drunk water, and he is faint.
13The craftsman of wood stretches out a line; he marks it out with a stylus; he makes it with planes, and with the compass he marks it out, and makes it after the figure of a man, according to the beauty of man, to dwell in a house.
14He cuts down for himself cedars, and takes a holm tree and an oak, and strengthens for himself among the trees of the forest; he plants, and the rain makes it grow.
15And it becomes for man to burn; and he takes from them and warms himself; yes, he kindles and bakes bread; yes, he makes a god and bows down; he makes it a carved image and falls down to it.
16Half of it he has burned in the fire; upon the half of it he eats meat, he roasts a roast and is satisfied; yes, he warms himself and says, "Aha, I am warm, I have seen fire."
17And the remainder of it he makes into a god, his carved image; he falls down to it and worships, and prays to it, and says, "Deliver me, for you are my god."
18They do not know, nor do they understand; for their eyes are smeared shut from seeing, their hearts from understanding.
19And none brings it back to his heart, nor is there knowledge nor understanding to say, "Half of it I burned in the fire, and also I baked bread on its coals; I roast meat and eat; and shall I make its remainder an abomination? Shall I fall down to the stock of a tree?"
20Feeding on ashes—a deceived heart has turned him aside—and he does not deliver his soul, nor say, "Is there not a falsehood in my right hand?"
Jerusalem to Be Restored
21Remember these things, O Jacob, and Israel, for you are my servant; I have formed you, you are a servant to me; O Israel, you shall not be forgotten by me.
22I have blotted out, like a thick cloud, your transgressions, and like a cloud your sins; return to me, for I have redeemed you.
23Sing, O heavens, for the LORD has done it; shout, O lower parts of the earth; break forth into singing, O mountains, O forest, and every tree in it; for the LORD has redeemed Jacob, and in Israel he glorifies himself.

Messiah’s Perfect Sacrifice
10:1For the law has but a shadow of the good things to come, not the true form of these realities, and it can never, by the same sacrifices that are offered continually every year, make perfect those who draw near. 2Otherwise, would they not have ceased to be offered, since the worshipers, having once been cleansed, would no longer have any consciousness of sins?
3But in these sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year, 4for it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. 5Therefore, when Yeshua came into the world, He said, "Sacrifices and offerings you did not desire, but a body you have prepared for me;
6in burnt offerings and sin offerings you have taken no pleasure.
7Then I said, 'Behold, I have come — in the scroll of the book it is written of me — to do your will, O God.'"
8When He said above, "Sacrifices and offerings and burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire nor were you pleased with them" — these are offered according to the law — 9then He added, "Behold, I have come to do your will, O God"; He does away with the first in order to establish the second. 10And by that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Yeshua Messiah once for all.
