An Inventory of Materials
38:21These are the accounts of the tabernacle, the tabernacle of the testimony, which were counted at the mouth of Moses, the service of the Levites, by the hand of Ithamar, son of Aaron the priest. 22And Bezalel, son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, made all that the LORD commanded Moses. 23And with him was Oholiab, son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, a craftsman and a designer and an embroiderer in blue and in purple and in scarlet of worm and in fine linen.
24All the gold that was used for the work, in all the work of the sanctuary, the gold of the wave offering, was twenty-nine talents and seven hundred and thirty shekels, by the shekel of the sanctuary.
25And the silver of those numbered of the congregation: a hundred talents, and a thousand and seven hundred and five and seventy shekels, by the shekel of the sanctuary; 26a beka per head, half a shekel, by the shekel of the sanctuary, for everyone who passed over to those numbered, from a son of twenty years and upward, for six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.
27And the hundred talents of the silver were for casting the sockets of the sanctuary and the sockets of the veil; a hundred sockets for the hundred talents, a talent for the socket.
28And of the thousand and seven hundred and five and seventy he made hooks for the pillars, and overlaid their heads, and banded them.
29And the bronze of the wave offering was seventy talents and two thousand and four hundred shekels. 30And with it he made the sockets of the opening of the tent of appointed time (mo-ed), and the altar of bronze, and the grating of bronze that was for it, and all the vessels of the altar, 31and the sockets of the court round about, and the sockets of the gate of the court, and all the pegs of the tabernacle, and all the pegs of the court round about.
The Ephod
39:1And from the blue, and the purple, and the scarlet, they made plaited garments for ministering in the holy place; and they made the holy garments which were for Aaron, as the LORD commanded Moses.

39:2And he made the ephod of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen. 3And they hammered out the plates of gold, and cut threads, to work it in the midst of the blue, and in the midst of the purple, and in the midst of the scarlet, and in the midst of the fine linen, the work of a skillful designer. 4Shoulder-pieces they made for it, joined together; at its two ends it was joined together. 5And the band of his ephod which was upon it was of the same piece, like its work: gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, as the LORD commanded Moses.
6And they made the onyx stones, set in settings of gold, engraved with the engravings of a signet, according to the names of the sons of Israel. 7And he put them on the shoulder-pieces of the ephod, stones of memorial for the sons of Israel, as the LORD commanded Moses.
The Breastpiece
8And he made the breastplate, the work of a skillful designer, like the work of the ephod: gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen. 9It was foursquare; doubled they made the breastplate; a span its length, and a span its breadth, doubled.
10And they filled in it four rows of stone: a row of carnelian, topaz, and emerald, the first row.
11And the second row: a turquoise, a sapphire, and a diamond.
12And the third row: a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst.
13And the fourth row: a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper; set in settings of gold in their fillings.
14And the stones were according to the names of the sons of Israel, twelve, according to their names; the engravings of a signet, each man according to his name, for the twelve tribes.
15And they made upon the breastplate chains of border-work, the work of cords, of pure gold. 16And they made two settings of gold, and two rings of gold; and they put the two rings on the two ends of the breastplate. 17And they put the two cords of gold on the two rings at the ends of the breastplate. 18And the two ends of the two cords they put on the two settings, and they put them on the shoulder-pieces of the ephod, toward the front of it.
19And they made two rings of gold, and they set them on the two ends of the breastplate, upon its edge which was toward the side of the ephod inward.
20And they made two rings of gold, and they put them on the two shoulder-pieces of the ephod, from below, toward the front of it, close by its coupling, above the band of the ephod. 21And they bound the breastplate by its rings to the rings of the ephod with a thread of blue, that it might be upon the band of the ephod, and that the breastplate might not be loosed from upon the ephod, as the LORD commanded Moses.

Additional Priestly Garments
39:22And he made the robe of the ephod, the work of a weaver, all of blue. 23And the opening of the robe was in the midst of it, like the opening of a coat of mail, with a binding around its opening, that it should not be torn.
24And they made upon the skirts of the robe pomegranates of blue, and purple, and scarlet twined. 25And they made bells of pure gold, and they put the bells in the midst of the pomegranates upon the skirts of the robe, round about, in the midst of the pomegranates: 26a bell and a pomegranate, a bell and a pomegranate, upon the skirts of the robe round about, for ministering, as the LORD commanded Moses.
27And they made the tunics of fine linen, the work of a weaver, for Aaron and for his sons, 28and the turban of fine linen, and the adornments of the headdresses of fine linen, and the linen breeches of fine twined linen, 29and the sash of fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet, the work of an embroiderer, as the LORD commanded Moses.
30And they made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and they wrote upon it a writing, the engravings of a signet: HOLY TO the LORD.
31And they put upon it a thread of blue, to fasten it upon the turban from above, as the LORD commanded Moses.

Setting Up the Tabernacle
40:1And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying: 2On the day of the first month, on the first of the month, you shall raise up the tabernacle of the tent of appointed time (mo-ed). 3And you shall put there the ark of the testimony, and you shall cover over the ark with the veil. 4And you shall bring in the table, and arrange its arrangement; and you shall bring in the lampstand, and light up its lamps.
5And you shall set the altar of gold for incense before the ark of the testimony, and you shall put the screen of the entrance to the tabernacle. 6And you shall set the altar of the burnt offering before the entrance of the tabernacle of the tent of appointed time (mo-ed). 7And you shall set the laver between the tent of appointed time (mo-ed) and the altar, and you shall put there water.
8And you shall set up the court round about, and you shall put the screen of the gate of the court.
9And you shall take the oil of anointing, and anoint the tabernacle and all that is in it; and you shall sanctify it and all its vessels, and it shall be holy. 10And you shall anoint the altar of the burnt offering, and all its vessels; and you shall sanctify the altar, and the altar shall be most holy. 11And you shall anoint the laver and its base, and you shall sanctify it.
12And you shall bring near Aaron and his sons to the entrance of the tent of appointed time (mo-ed), and you shall wash them with water. 13And you shall clothe Aaron with the holy garments, and you shall anoint him and sanctify him, that he may serve me as priest. 14And his sons you shall bring near, and you shall clothe them with tunics. 15And you shall anoint them, as you anointed their father, that they may serve me as priests; and it shall be that their anointing shall become to them for an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.
16And Moses did according to all that the LORD commanded him, so he did.

40:17And it came to pass in the first month, in the second year, on the first of the month, that the tabernacle was raised up.
18And Moses raised up the tabernacle, and laid its sockets, and set its boards, and put in its bars, and raised up its pillars. 19And he spread the tent over the tabernacle, and put the covering of the tent over it from above, as the LORD commanded Moses.
20And he took and put the testimony into the ark, and set the staves on the ark, and put the ark-cover on the ark from above. 21And he brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up the veil of the screen, and covered over the ark of the testimony, as the LORD commanded Moses.
22And he put the table in the tent of appointed time (mo-ed), on the side of the tabernacle northward, outside the veil. 23And he arranged upon it an arrangement of bread before the LORD, as the LORD commanded Moses.
24And he put the lampstand in the tent of appointed time (mo-ed), opposite the table, on the side of the tabernacle southward. 25And he lit up the lamps before the LORD, as the LORD commanded Moses.
26And he put the altar of gold in the tent of appointed time (mo-ed), before the veil. 27And he burned upon it incense of spices, as the LORD commanded Moses.

40:28And he put the screen of the entrance to the tabernacle. 29And the altar of the burnt offering he set at the entrance of the tabernacle of the tent of appointed time (mo-ed), and offered up upon it the burnt offering and the meal offering, as the LORD commanded Moses.
30And he set the laver between the tent of appointed time (mo-ed) and the altar, and put there water to wash. 31And Moses and Aaron and his sons washed from it their hands and their feet. 32When they came into the tent of appointed time (mo-ed), and when they drew near to the altar, they washed, as the LORD commanded Moses.
33And he raised up the court round about the tabernacle and the altar, and put up the screen of the gate of the court. So Moses finished the work.
The Cloud and the Glory
34And the cloud covered the tent of appointed time (mo-ed), and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. 35And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of appointed time (mo-ed), because the cloud abode upon it, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.
36And when the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the sons of Israel journeyed onward in all their journeys. 37But if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not journey ad(עד) the day that it was taken up. 38For the cloud of the LORD was upon the tabernacle by day, and fire was in it by night, before the eyes of all the house of Israel, in all their journeys.

7:51And all the work which king Solomon did for the house of the LORD was finished. And Solomon brought in the holy things of David his father—the silver, and the gold, and the vessels—he put them in the treasuries of the house of the LORD.
The Ark Enters the Temple
8:1Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the princes of the fathers of the sons of Israel, to king Solomon in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD from the city of David, which is Zion. 2And all the men of Israel were assembled to king Solomon in the month of Ethanim, at the feast, it is the seventh month.
3And all the elders of Israel came, and the priests carried the ark. 4And they brought up the ark of the LORD, and the tent of appointed time (mo-ed), and all the holy vessels that were in the tent; and the priests and the Levites brought them up.
5And king Solomon and all the congregation of Israel, who were assembled to him, were with him before the ark, sacrificing sheep and oxen that could not be counted nor numbered for multitude.
6And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD to its place, to the inner sanctuary of the house, to the holy of holies, to under the wings of the cherubim. 7For the cherubim were spreading wings to the place of the ark, and the cherubim covered over the ark and over its staves from above.
8And they lengthened the staves, and the heads of the staves were seen from the holy place upon the face of the inner sanctuary, but they were not seen outside; and there they are to this day.
9There was nothing in the ark except the two tablets of stone that Moses placed there at Horeb, where the LORD cut a covenant with the sons of Israel when they came out of the land of Egypt.
10And it came to pass, when the priests came out from the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the LORD. 11And the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the LORD filled the house of the LORD.
Solomon Blesses the LORD
12Then Solomon said: the LORD said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.
13Building, I have built a house of lofty habitation for you, a place for your dwelling forever.
14And the king turned his face about and blessed all the assembly of Israel; and all the assembly of Israel was standing. 15And he said: Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, who spoke with his mouth to David my father, and with his hand has fulfilled it, saying: 16From the day that I brought forth my people Israel from Egypt, I did not choose a city out of all the tribes of Israel to build a house, that my name might be there; but I chose David to be over my people Israel.
17And it was with the heart of David my father to build a house for the name of the LORD, the God of Israel. 18And the LORD said to David my father: Because it was with your heart to build a house for my name, you did well that it was with your heart; 19only you shall not build the house; but your son who comes forth from your loins, he shall build the house for my name.
20And the LORD has established his word that he spoke; and I have risen up in place of David my father, and I sit on the throne of Israel, as the LORD spoke, and I have built the house for the name of the LORD, the God of Israel. 21And I have set there a place for the ark, where is the covenant of the LORD, which he cut with our fathers when he brought them out of the land of Egypt.

Preparation for Judgment
15:5And after these things I looked, and the temple of the tent of witness in heaven was opened. 6And the seven angels who have the seven plagues came out of the temple, clothed in clean bright linen and girded around the chest with golden belts.
7And one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the fury of God who lives forever and ever. 8And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from His power, and no one was able to enter into the temple until the seven plagues of the seven angels were completed.
