Offerings for the Tabernacle

4And Moses said to all the congregation of the sons of Israel, saying, "This is the thing which the LORD commanded, saying: 5Take from among you an offering for the LORD; everyone of a willing heart, let him bring it, the offering of the LORD: gold, and silver, and bronze;

6and blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats' hair;

7and rams' skins dyed red, and skins of tachash, and acacia wood;

35:21And they came, every man whose heart lifted him up, and everyone whose spirit made him willing; they brought the offering of the LORD for the work of the tent of appointed time (mo-ed), and for all its service, and for the holy garments.

22And they came, the men along with the women; everyone of a willing heart brought brooches, and nose-rings, and rings, and ornaments, all articles of gold; even every man who waved a wave-offering of gold to the LORD.

23And every man with whom was found blue and purple and scarlet and fine linen and goats' hair, and rams' skins dyed red and skins of tachash, brought them. 24Everyone lifting up an offering of silver and bronze brought the offering of the LORD; and everyone with whom was found acacia wood for any work of the service brought it.

25And every woman wise of heart spun with her hands, and they brought what was spun: the blue, and the purple, the scarlet, and the fine linen. 26And all the women whose heart lifted them up in wisdom spun the goats' hair.

27And the princes brought the onyx stones, and the stones of settings, for the ephod and for the breastpiece; 28and the spice, and the oil, for the light, and for the anointing oil, and for the incense of spices.

29Every man and woman whose heart made them willing to bring for all the work which the LORD had commanded by the hand of Moses to be made, the sons of Israel brought a freewill offering to the LORD.

Bezalel and Oholiab

35:30And Moses said to the sons of Israel, "See, the LORD has called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah; 31and he has filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all work; 32and to devise designs, to work in gold and in silver and in bronze; 33and in the cutting of stone for setting, and in the carving of wood, to work in every work of design.

34And to teach he has put in his heart, both he and Oholiab the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan. 35He has filled them with wisdom of heart to do all work of the engraver and the designer and the embroiderer, in the blue and in the purple, in the scarlet and in the fine linen, and of the weaver, those doing every work and devising designs.

The People Bring More than Enough

36:1And Bezalel and Oholiab shall make, and every man wise of heart in whom the LORD has put wisdom and understanding among them, to know to do all the work of the service of the sanctuary, according to all that the LORD commanded.

2And Moses called to Bezalel and to Oholiab and to every man wise of heart in whose heart the LORD had put wisdom, everyone whose heart lifted him up to draw near to the work to do it. 3And they took from before Moses all the offering which the sons of Israel had brought for the work of the service of the sanctuary, to do it. And they brought to him still more freewill offerings morning by morning. 4And all the wise ones who were doing all the work of the sanctuary came, each man from his work which they were doing, 5and they spoke to Moses, saying, "The people bring much more than enough for the service for the work which the LORD commanded to do."

6And Moses commanded, and they caused a voice to pass through the camp, saying, "Let no man or woman make any more work for the offering of the sanctuary." And the people were restrained from bringing. 7And the work was enough for them for all the work, to do it, and more than enough.

The Ten Curtains for the Tabernacle

36:8And every one wise of heart among the doers of the work made the tabernacle: ten curtains of fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet; cherubim, the work of a designer, he made them. 9The length of the one curtain was eight and twenty cubits, and the breadth four cubits, the one curtain; one measure for all the curtains. 10And he joined the five curtains one to another, and five curtains he joined one to another.

11And he made loops of blue upon the edge of the one curtain, at the end in the coupling; likewise he made on the edge of the outermost curtain in the second coupling. 12Fifty loops he made in the one curtain, and fifty loops he made at the end of the curtain that was in the second coupling, the loops corresponding one to another. 13And he made fifty clasps of gold, and joined the curtains one to another with the clasps; and the tabernacle became one.

The Eleven Curtains of Goat Hair

14And he made curtains of goats' hair for a tent over the tabernacle; eleven curtains he made them. 15The length of the one curtain was thirty cubits, and four cubits the breadth of the one curtain; one measure for the eleven curtains. 16And he joined the five curtains by themselves, and the six curtains by themselves. 17And he made fifty loops on the edge of the outermost curtain in the coupling, and fifty loops he made on the edge of the curtain of the second joining. 18And he made fifty clasps of bronze to join the tent together, to be one.

23And he made the boards for the tabernacle: twenty boards for the south side, southward. 24And forty sockets of silver he made under the twenty boards: two sockets under the one board for its two tenons, and two sockets under the other board for its two tenons.

25And for the second side of the tabernacle, for the north side, he made twenty boards, 26and their forty sockets of silver: two sockets under the one board, and two sockets under the other board.

27And for the rear parts of the tabernacle, westward, he made six boards. 28And two boards he made for the corners of the tabernacle in the rear parts. 29And they were doubled from beneath, and together they were complete to its top, to the one ring; thus he did for both of them, for the two corners. 30And there were eight boards, and their sockets of silver, sixteen sockets: two sockets, two sockets under the one board.

31And he made bars of acacia wood: five for the boards of the one side of the tabernacle, 32and five bars for the boards of the second side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the tabernacle for the rear parts, westward.

The Table of Showbread

10And he made the table of acacia wood: two cubits its length, and a cubit its breadth, and a cubit and a half its height. 11And he overlaid it with pure gold, and made for it a molding of gold round about. 12And he made for it a frame of a handbreadth round about, and made a molding of gold for its frame round about.

13And he cast for it four rings of gold, and put the rings on the four corners that were for its four feet. 14Close by the frame were the rings, houses for the staves, to carry the table. 15And he made the staves of acacia wood, and overlaid them with gold, to carry the table.

Completion of the Bronze Works

7:40And Hiram made the pots, and the shovels, and the basins; and Hiram finished doing all the work that he did for king Solomon, the house of the LORD:

41the two pillars, and the bowls of the capitals that were on the top of the pillars—two; and the two networks to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the top of the pillars;

42and the pomegranates—four hundred—for the two networks, two rows of pomegranates for the one network, to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were upon the face of the pillars;

43and the bases—ten; and the lavers—ten—upon the bases;

44and the one sea, and the twelve oxen beneath the sea;

45and the pots, and the shovels, and the basins; even all these vessels which Hiram made for king Solomon, the house of the LORD, were of burnished bronze. 46In the plain of the Jordan the king cast them, in the thickness of the ground, between Succoth and Zarethan. 47And Solomon left all the vessels unweighed, because of the very great abundance; the weight of the bronze was not searched out.

Completion of the Gold Furnishings

48And Solomon made all the vessels that were in the house of the LORD: the altar of gold, and the table on which was the bread of the Presence, of gold;

49and the lampstands—five on the right and five on the left, before the oracle—of pure gold; and the flower, and the lamps, and the tongs, of gold;

50and the basins, and the snuffers, and the bowls, and the spoons, and the firepans, of pure gold; and the sockets for the doors of the inner house, the Holy of Holies, for the doors of the house, of the temple, of gold.

9:6Now this I say, he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed;
