Psalms 149

1Praise Yah! Sing to YHWH a new song, his praise in the assembly of the faithful ones.

2Let Israel rejoice in his Maker; let the sons of Zion be joyful in their King.

3Let them praise his name with dancing; with timbrel and harp let them sing praises to him.

4For YHWH takes pleasure in his people; he adorns the humble with salvation (yeshuah).

5Let the faithful ones exult in glory; let them sing for joy upon their beds.

6The high praises of God are in their throat, and a two-edged sword in their hand;

7to execute vengeance among the nations, chastisements among the peoples;

8to bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;

9to execute upon them the judgment (mishpat) written; this is the honor for all his faithful ones. Praise Yah.
