Psalms 148

1Praise Yah! Praise YHWH from the heavens; praise him in the heights.

2Praise him, all his messengers; praise him, all his hosts.

3Praise him, sun and moon; praise him, all stars of light.

4Praise him, heavens of the heavens, and the waters that are above the heavens.

5Let them praise the name of YHWH; for he commanded (tzivvah), and they were created.

6And he established them for ever and ever; a statute (choq) he gave, and it shall not pass.

7Praise YHWH from the earth, great sea-creatures (tannin) and all deeps;

8fire and hail, snow and vapor, wind (ruach) of storm, doing his word;

9the mountains and all hills, fruit tree and all cedars;

10the living creature (chai) and all cattle, the creeping thing and winged bird;

11kings of the earth and all peoples, princes and all judges of the earth;

12young men and also maidens, elders together with youths;

13let them praise the name of YHWH, for his name alone is exalted; his majesty is above earth and heavens.

14And he has lifted up a horn for his people, a praise for all his faithful ones, for the sons of Israel, a people near to him. Praise Yah.
