Offerings of the Moadim

Numbers 28–29 gathers into one place every offering to be presented at the times YHWH appointed. The daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly moadim all share one skeleton — bull, ram, lamb, grain, drink, and sin offering — and only the counts change. That is why these two chapters come into sharpest focus as a chart.

Below, the whole is first compared in a single table, then each time is unfolded one by one alongside a list. Every figure is taken directly from the Yeshua Literal Version (YLV), Numbers 28–29.

·Kinds of Offering

The offerings in Numbers 28–29 are made up of four core kinds. The center is the burnt offering; the grain and drink offerings always accompany it, and a sin offering is added for atonement. Every count in the feasts below is a combination of these kinds.

·Master Comparison Table

The number of burnt-offering animals for each appointed time. Every feast offering is added besides the daily continual offering (tamid). The grain and drink offerings follow the standard ratios below (a fixed amount per bull, ram, and lamb).

· The lamb “2” of the continual offering is one in the morning + one between the evenings (בין הערבים). The Sabbath “+2” is added to the continual offering. · Sukkot's bulls decrease by one per day, from 13 on day 1 to 7 on day 7 — seventy bulls over the week.

·Standard Ratios — Grain & Drink

The amount of the grain offering (fine flour + oil) and drink offering (poured wine / strong drink) that accompanies each burnt-offering animal is fixed by the kind of animal (Num 28:12–14). In each feast, the phrase “according to their number, as prescribed (mishpat)” refers to exactly these ratios.

· The grain and drink offerings accompany only these three animals (bull, ram, lamb), each by its number. The sin-offering goat carries no grain or drink offering (offered alone).

1Daily Continual Offering (Tamid)

The burnt offering presented every day without ceasing — the foundation of all sacrifice. Every other feast offering is always added “besides” this continual offering.

2Sabbath

On the Sabbath that returns every seventh day, two lambs are added to the continual offering.

3New Moon

The burnt offering presented on the first of each month. From here the full skeleton appears — bull, ram, lamb, and sin offering all together.

4Passover · Unleavened Bread

The fourteenth of the first month is the Passover of YHWH; from the fifteenth, for seven days, is Unleavened Bread (bread without leaven). The burnt offering below is presented every day for the seven days; on the first and seventh days there is a holy convocation and no work is done.

5Feast of Weeks (Day of Firstfruits)

The day the first yield of new grain (wheat) is presented to YHWH. There is a holy convocation and no work is done.

6Day of Trumpet Blast

The first day of the seventh month, the day of blowing the trumpet. Because this day is also a New Moon, the trumpet-day burnt offering has a special structure — laid on top of the New Moon offering, and again on top of the continual offering.

7Day of Atonement

The tenth day of the seventh month, the day to afflict your soul (nephesh). There is a holy convocation and no work is done.

8Sukkot · Seventy Bulls

The feast kept for seven days from the fifteenth of the seventh month. Unlike every other feast, Sukkot has a unique structure — the number of bulls decreases by one each day. Beginning at thirteen on the first day and reaching seven on the seventh, the bulls over the seven days total seventy. The rams (2), lambs (14), and sin-offering goat (1) stay the same throughout the week.

·Closing

All these offerings are presented at the appointed times (moed) of YHWH, apart from what each person brings by vow and freewill as burnt, grain, drink, and peace offerings (Num 29:39). That is, the feast offerings are not laid upon individual devotion; they are the baseline sacrifices the community presents without ceasing, according to the times God Himself appointed.
