Romans 8
1There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Messiah Yeshua, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the spirit.
2For the law of the spirit of life in Messiah Yeshua has set me free from the law of sin and of death.
3For what was impossible for the law — in that it was weak through the flesh — God, by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and concerning sin, condemned sin in the flesh,
4so that the righteous act of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the spirit.
5For those who are according to the flesh set their mindset on the things of the flesh, but those according to the spirit, the things of the spirit.
6For the mindset of the flesh is death, but the mindset of the spirit is life and peace.
7Because the mindset of the flesh is hostility toward God, for it does not submit to the law of God — indeed it cannot —
8and those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
9But you are not in the flesh but in the spirit, if indeed the spirit of God dwells in you; but if anyone does not have the spirit of Messiah, this one does not belong to Him.
10But if Messiah is in you, the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is life because of righteousness.
11But if the spirit of the One who raised Yeshua from the dead dwells in you, the One who raised Messiah from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His spirit who dwells in you.
12So then, brothers, we are debtors — not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh —
13for if you live according to the flesh, you are about to die; but if by the spirit you put to death the practices of the body, you will live.
14For as many as are led by the spirit of God, these are sons of God.
15For you did not receive a spirit of slavery leading back to fear, but you received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, "Abba, the Father."
16The spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,
17and if children, then heirs — heirs of God and co-heirs with Messiah, if indeed we suffer together so that we may also be glorified together.
18For I consider that the sufferings of the present appointed time are not worth comparing to the glory that is about to be revealed to us.
19For the eager expectation of the creation awaits the revelation of the sons of God.
20For the creation was subjected to futility — not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it — in hope
21that the creation itself also will be set free from the slavery of corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God.
22For we know that the whole creation groans together and travails together until now.
23And not only that, but also we ourselves, having the first-fruits of the spirit, we also groan within ourselves, awaiting adoption as sons — the redemption of our body.
24For we were saved in hope; but hope that is seen is not hope, for why does one hope for what he sees?
25But if we hope for what we do not see, we await it with perseverance.
26And likewise the spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the spirit Himself intercedes for us with unutterable groanings.
27And the One who searches the hearts knows what the mindset of the spirit is, because He intercedes for the holy ones according to God.
28And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good — for those who are called according to His purpose.
29Because those whom He foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, so that He might be the firstborn among many brothers.
30And those whom He predestined, these He also called; and those whom He called, these He also justified; and those whom He justified, these He also glorified.
31What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?
32He who did not spare His own Son but delivered Him up for us all — how will He not also, with Him, freely give us all things?
33Who will bring a charge against the chosen ones of God? God is the one who justifies.
34Who is the one who condemns? Messiah Yeshua is the one who died — yes, rather, who was raised, who is also at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us.
35Who will separate us from the love of Messiah? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?
36As it is written: "For your sake we are being put to death all day long; we were counted as sheep of slaughter."
37But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.
38For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Messiah Yeshua our Lord.
