Psalms 61

1To the leader; upon stringed music; of David.

2Hear, God, my cry; attend to my prayer.

3From the end of the earth I call to you, when my heart faints; lead me to a rock that is higher than me.

4For you have been a refuge for me, a tower of strength before the enemy.

5I will dwell in your tent forever; I will take refuge in the shelter of your wings. Selah.

6For you, God, have heard my vows; you have given the heritage of those who fear your name.

7Days upon the days of the king you will add; his years like generation and generation.

8He will sit forever before God; appoint mercy and truth, that they may preserve him.

9So I will sing praise to your name forever, that I may pay my vows day by day.
