Psalms 108

1A song, a psalm of David.

2My heart is steadfast, O God; I will sing and I will sing praises—also my glory.

3Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn.

4I will give you thanks among the peoples, YHWH, and I will sing praises to you among the nations.

5For great above the heavens is your lovingkindness, and to the skies your truth.

6Be exalted above the heavens, O God, and above all the earth your glory.

7That your beloved ones may be delivered, save (yasha) with your right hand, and answer me.

8God has spoken in his holiness: I will exult; I will divide Shechem, and the valley of Succoth I will measure out.

9Mine is Gilead, mine is Manasseh; and Ephraim is the stronghold of my head, Judah is my scepter.

10Moab is my washpot; upon Edom I will cast my sandal; over Philistia I will shout in triumph.

11Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who will lead me to Edom?

12Have you not, O God, rejected us? And you do not go out, O God, with our hosts.

13Give us help from distress, for vain is the deliverance of man (adam).

14In God we will do valiantly, and he, he will tread down our foes.
